We at KSA know that coding begins with the documentation.  We will review a specified number of charts starting with the CC and going through the rest of the documentation.  Our certified coding review specialist will:

1. Examine the documentation in detail reviewing each area of the medical record step by step.
2. Generate a code based on the documentation review.
3. Perform a comparative analysis of the assigned procedure code with the suggested procedure code.
4. Perform a comparative analysis of the assigned diagnosis code with the suggested diagnosis code.
5. A point by point detailed report is generated for each chart reviewed -- showing all pertinent positives and negatives.
6. An overview report, that not only points out the critical issues, but offers solid solutions to those problems, comes with each report.

Customized In-service seminars can be devised to review results and help improve coding in your practice.

Remember, our review specialists are actually medically trained, so we put ourselves in your shoes!

HOW DO YOU GET STARTED:

1. Choose 50 charts at random.
2. Make a photocopy of the superbill and the physician note that corresponds with that date of service.
3. Be sure to blacken out all private patient information.
4. Send photocopied charts to KSA, P.O. Box 244, Shirley, MA 01464 -- or -- 2 Shaker Rd., Suite B220, Shirley, MA 01464 -- via priority mail or FedEx.
5. When your charts are received a confirmation will be faxed to you and a representative will be in touch with you when the results are final!
